Swamp White Oak (Quercus bicolor)

$5.99

Swamp white oaks get their name from their ability to adapt and survive in poorly drained sites.  They are very cold hearty, tolerate a variety of site conditions, and known to grow nearly everywhere.  They grow better on sites with favorable conditions, but their ability to tolerate “swampy” sites make them a go to tree for many habitat and land managers looking to establish oaks near lowland swampy areas.  So, grab a few and plant them along the edge of that swamp area on your property and give the deer a food source right next to their bedroom, or plant them in more favorable conditions elsewhere on your property and watch them takeoff in growth each year.
